Secure MCP integration · Private beta
Waylantern exposes a secure remote MCP connector. Your assistant can help structure, translate and improve a procedure, while you keep control of review and publication.
This public address identifies the connector. It is not a password or access token.
From an idea to a reviewable draft
The connector uses Waylantern’s normal permissions and keeps the final decision in the web application.
Enter the Waylantern MCP address in a compatible AI assistant.
Sign in to Waylantern, review the requested access and approve it.
Ask for clear steps, relevant answer types and the languages you need.
Open the draft in Waylantern, verify it and publish it yourself when ready.
Available today
The private beta focuses on creating high-quality drafts without granting access to operational evidence or administration.
The assistant sees only workspaces in which your account can create procedures.
Instruction, checkbox, yes/no, text, number, choices and photo steps can be combined.
A draft can contain localized titles, descriptions and step content for supported languages.
Updates use optimistic locking and never silently overwrite a newer edit.
Not limited to one AI
MCP is an open standard. Each provider still has its own connector interface, plans and OAuth callback, which Waylantern validates before activation.
The complete remote MCP, OAuth, consent and draft-creation flow is currently available.
Availability in ChatGPT can depend on the account and connector/developer features enabled by OpenAI. Official provider documentationClaude supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP servers, OAuth and Dynamic Client Registration.
Waylantern has not yet enabled and end-to-end tested Claude’s OAuth callback in production. Official provider documentationMistral’s conversational product supports custom MCP connectors and OAuth authentication.
Waylantern has not yet enabled and end-to-end tested the Mistral connector in production. Official provider documentationWaylantern uses an explicit allowlist for OAuth return addresses. A new provider is enabled only after its official callback has been identified and the complete authorization, revocation and error flow has been tested.
Security by design
Every request is authenticated, tenant-scoped, rate-limited and authorized server-side with the same policies as the web interface.
